U89 ISDN

The first ISDN telephone when ISDN lines were first introduced (Aline ISDN Network V1); at that time, you could only request an ISDN line in Point-to-Multipoint mode with two MSN numbers; Point-to-Point with dialling was not yet available. There were also many main exchanges and satellite exchanges that were not yet able to provide ISDN. Jette was served via long-distance lines from the Marais/Broek building to bring lines into service, albeit only a trickle at first. The first subscribers did not pay a monthly rental fee either; only the calls were charged.
