The Forum I12 was supplied as standard with a capacity of 2 analogue external lines and 6 internal lines. The switchboard could be expanded to 4 external lines and 12 handsets; it was even possible to install an ISDN card to connect ISDN lines, a voice module, courtesy modules, etc. The switchboard could connect both analogue and digital ANTHEA handsets. Both types could be connected to the handset ports in any combination. Programming was carried out via the ANTHEA handset.
